Since 1991, Iratel has been offering end-to-end solutions in the telecom sector. In 1993, Iratel implemented the first ever GSM network with a capacity of 10,000 subscribers in exclusive partnership with Nokia. In 1996, Iratel in partnership with Ericsson was awarded the project to expand mobile network of MCCI (now Hamrah Aval) to initially 7 million and then to 15 million subscribers. At the same time, our group led the market in device distribution in the MENA region and perhaps globally. We secured the largest global contract to distribute 1 million units of Nokia 3310 devices. At every stage, we exceeded the service expectations of our retail customers by expanding our after sales services network to all corners of the country. Fast forward to today and our group is the leading private EPCM contractor in the mobile telecommunication industry. Today our group is the leading device distributor in MENA with 4 million units sold a year enabling communication, innovation and building future success stories. Our continued interest and investment in new technologies will enable us, and the young promising startup ecosystem in the country, to flourish and grow to become a world class player and an example for other regional markets.
